Mulawin village chief Marvin S Dela Cruz led Wednesday afternoon a supposed raid against illegal cockfight or tupada while Bataan and other provinces in Central Luzon are presently under the Enhanced Community Quarantine.
The operation was Captain Dela Cruz’ quick response upon learning from an intelligence report that certain individuals in Sitio Bagong Silang were behind the said illegal activities wherein the latest game reportedly transpired yesterday.
The entrance of the identified place were being guarded by several youths posing as frontliners for the supposed checkpoint in the area. They were severely reprimanded by “Kap Mhar Veen” when he learned that they also serve as tipsters to the organizer whenever a raiding team or village watchmen will arrived at the area for inspection.
Dela Cruz also ordered to clear the entrance and asked some of the suspects identified by his intelligence operatives, to clear their names and report to him directly who is the real culprit behind the said illegal gambling operations in the said area.
Orani PNP operatives led by Zorovabel Q Cruz were also present during the operation.
Illegal cockfight or tupada is prohibited under the ECQ imposed amid the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
PB Dela Cruz said the moment they arrest these violators, he will charge them with violation of Presidential Decree 449 which bans cockfighting activities.
