CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — City of San Fernando Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago, together with the local finance committee, started giving out the year-end bonus and other incentives for 1,553 local government workers here.
On November 16, permanent and casual employees already received their year-end bonus, equivalent to a one-month basic salary, plus a P5,000 cash gift. Job Order employees received additional compensation for P10,000.
The bonus is given on or after November 15 of every year based on Department of Budget and Management Circular No. 2016-4 dated April 28, 2016, under Republic Act No. 11466.
180 Health Workers and Isolation Facility Personnel also received their Special Risk Allowance, equivalent to 20 percent of their monthly salary as provided by DBM guidelines.
Furthermore, Santiago announced on December 01, the grant of Performance-Based Bonus (PBB). The incentive was based on the performance ranking of the individual office or delivery unit with the rate of incentive as a multiple of one’s monthly basic salary as of December 31, 2019, while job order employees received additional compensation of P5,500.
Santiago underscored the importance of annual bonuses and incentives to pay off the hard work and dedication of city hall workers, especially amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Deserve ng mga public servants itong mga binibigay nating bonus at incentives dahil nakita naman natin na simula pa lamang ng taon nasubok na ang dedikasyon at kahusayan nila sa kanilang trabaho,” the mayor said.
Meanwhile, the City Human Resource and Management Office disclosed that permanent and casual employees will receive P5,000 under the Productivity Enhancement Incentive (PEI) on December 15.
The LGU will also grant a service recognition incentive worth P2,000 on December 21 for all workers.
