CSF lauds outstanding City Hall employees

ayor Edwin D. Santiago led the recognition of selected employees and departments for displaying outstanding public service during the “Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence” (Praise) Honor Awards held on Oct. 3.

The Lifetime Achievement Awards were awarded to employees who are about to retire this year and rendered very satisfactory service for the whole duration of their stay in the local government unit. The awardees are Estrella M. Delos Santos of City Health Office; Emilia B. Figueroa, Buenaventura M. Tupe, Ruperto C. Vital and Levi G. Tiomico of City Economic Enterprise Division; Dr. Romeo M. Gomez, City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Division; Ernestina S. Malit and Jose M. De Leon Jr of City Assessor Office.

Employees who have satisfactorily finished graduate school (MA or Doctorate) at their own expense also received Professional Development Awards. They are Elisabeth S. Bungag, Master in Environment and Natural Resources Management, City Environment and Natural Resources Office; Dexter P. Dancel, Master in Information System, Management Information and Technology Division; Mary Kristine S. Belmonte, Master in Public Administration, City Treasurer’s Office.

Unit and Divisions of the city government that demonstrated outstanding teamwork and cooperation, thus resulting to improved public service delivery, were also recognized in the Best Performing Group category.

The finalists are City Environment and Natural Resources Office; Project Askal; Internal Monitoring Team; Tax Mapping Division; Real Property Tax Committee on Delinquent Tax and Saturation; Business License and Permit Division, while the winner is the Environmental Health and Sanitation Division.

Another category is the Public Servant Award or Model Employee category. This is granted to an employee who excelled among peers in a functional group, position or profession, and has made significant contributions in their respective offices.

The winners are Ma Teresa Q. Doble, City Budget Office, (finalist) and the grand winner is Engr. Romel S. Salvador of City General Service Office Utility Management Service Division.

The winners also received cash prizes and certificates of recognition.

“Ang mga empleyado ang pinakamahalagang kayamanan ng Siyudad, sila ang naglilingkod sa mga Fernandino, kaya marapat lamang na sila ay bigyan ng pagkilala” said Mayor EdSa.

He noted that the awards and recognition that the city have earned are all “outputs of public servants including City Hall employees.”
