CSF lays out strategies for efficient policies and programs

San Fernando Task Force against COVID-19 response clusters convened on Friday to ensure the efficient and effective implementation of standards of care, infection prevention and control procedures for the contagion in the city.

The Task Force is taking the lead in all the related situations and concerns on COVID-19 disease, and closely coordinates with the Department of Health-Center for Health Development.

Thus, they are enjoined to further strategize and form policies, projects programs, and resources to sustain the city’s fight against the virus especially that the city is now placed under the modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ).

The local government unit (LGU) thru the different Task Force had already conducted house-to-house mapping, installed two central screening facilities; established DOH accredited isolation facilities; put up hand washing stations in major public markets and border control checkpoints; and partnered with a private hospital for a COVID-19 testing laboratory.

The city had also strengthened its economic and social aspect thru its urban gardening program, mobile palengke and online talipapa, social pension pay-out (SOCPEN), food and non-food assistance, and other initiatives aimed for the health and well-being of Fernandinos.

Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago said “the city will continue creating efficient and effective policies and programs to save lives—to save the Fernandinos.”

San Fernando Task Force against COVID-19 response clusters are composed of Governance; Law and Order; Economy, Food and non-food, Logistics; Management of the Dead; and, Crisis Communication.
