CSF quarantine violators render community service

Violators of the Enhanced Community Quarantine in the City of San Fernando were required to undertake community service on Saturday as penalty on their first offense.

The violators rendered services at the City Nursery in Barangay Lara under the “Rektang Gardening ng San Fernando PNP” program where they were given actual training on different gardening/planting methods.

Lieutenant Colonel Paul Gamido, San Fernando Police Chief, said these individuals violated the orders on curfew hours, mandatory wearing of face mask, and presentation of a home quarantine pass while out of the house.

The individuals were tasked to remove weeds from the plantation, pot mixed soils, plant various types of vegetables, and clean the nursery’s surroundings.

Gamido said the program aims to aid the supply of agricultural products in the city, especially now that the ECQ has been extended until the end of the month.

To date, Gamido shared, around 1,500 individuals were already apprehended and penalized with community service.

“Some of them were arrested already for the second offense,” Gamido revealed.

Other violators who will be held by the police will also be brought to the same area to further support the efforts of the City in producing agricultural products to be distributed to Fernandinos.

If arrested, the violators will undergo inquest proceedings and have to post bail of around P3,000 for their release, under the offenses of Non-cooperation and Disobedience.
