CITY OF SAN FERNANDO—About 752 Job Order employees signed on Friday the renewal of their contracts that extend their services until August 31, 2020.
Rachelle S. Yusi, City Human Resource Management Officer, said there is a need to extend the service of workers as they are part in mobilizing the important programs and projects of the city especially in this time of crisis when different activities, like the relief distribution, Social Amelioration Program (SAP) distribution, among others, are conducted.
As of this writing, the City Hall has a total number of 1,541 employees in which 752 are JOs.
Due to the threats posed by the Coronavirus disease 2019, the city government had issued executive orders protecting and ensuring their health and safety.
Also, the City has been annually granting enhanced medical insurance to all Job Order employees in partnership with the Philippine British Assurance Company Inc.,
Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago underscored the importance of contractual workers in the delivery of public service and expressed his gratitude to them.
“Sa mga JO employees, whether past or existing JO employees, pinapasalamatan namin sila sa malaking tulong na naibibigay nila sa araw-araw na pagganap nila ng kanilang trabaho. Sana ay manatili silang malusog, matatag, at may dedikasyon sa kanilang trabaho upang magpatuloy ang kanilang serbisyo dito sa Siyudad ng San Fernando.”
