DILG deploys 1,062 contact tracers in Pampanga

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) has deployed a total of 1,062 contact tracers (CTs) in Pampanga.

They are now working with the 19 municipalities and 2 component cities of the province.

“We have completed our target number of CTs since October 30. We are one of the first provinces to complete the quota in Central Luzon,” DILG Pampanga Program Manager Mark Jayson Veran said.

The hiring of CTs nationwide is pursuant to Republic Act 11494 otherwise known as Bayanihan to Recover as One Act.

“Prior to deployment, they completed training under our Local Government Academy in partnership with Department of Health,” he furthered.

DILG likewise provided them with complete Personal Protective Equipment and other essential supplies to ensure their safety. –Jag Lyra D. Costamero
