The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Pampanga has recently conducted an orientation on the MASA MASID (Mamamayan Ayaw sa Anomalya, Mamamayan Ayaw sa Iligal na Droga) program and Federalism.
The meeting was held last March 16, 2017 at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center, City of San Fernando, Pampanga for all the Punong Barangays in the province.
DILG Pampanga Director Myrvi Apostol-Fabia together with newly-installed DILG Region 3 Director Julie J. Daquioag have graced the event and both pointed out the importance of MASA MASID and the move towards federalism.
RD Daquioag told the Punong Barangays of Pampanga to take an active stance in the implementation of MASA MASID. “Ibaang may posisyon at ibaangmaykatungkulan” she stressed to the village chiefs.
LGOO II Aldwin B. Reyes later discussed the details of MASA MASID along with the updates on how the program progresses in the province. He also tackled the succeeding activities and recommendations regarding its implementation.
Atty. Pilipinas D. Baclayen, DILG R3’s Legal Officer, presented a detailed and informative session on the proposed governance shift to Federalism. She emphasized the positive effects of Federalism and imparted elaborate facts on its planned implementation.
The village chiefs have signified their commitment towards the effective implementation of the program and vowed to inform their constituents.
