Around 200 ‘de-padyak’ or tri-bike drivers benefitted from the relief operation conducted by one of the most popular social media pages in Dinalupihan, Bataan, last Saturday.
Dinalupihan Kong Mahal or DKM led by its founder and convenor, former Dinalupihan municipal councilor Noli “Kabayan” Soriano led his friends for the first wave of relief goods distribution to trike drivers who were greatly affected by the national government’s enforcement of the enhanced community quarantine for more than two months due to Covid-19 pandemic.
Under the ECQ and now modified ECQ, public transportation systems are prohibited.
“Binigyan po namin sila ng mga nalikom naming mga relief goods na bigas at mga de-lata.Ito po ang ‘Operation Tulong Alay sa Kapwa Food Aid Campaign Project’ sa unang 200 na de-padyak drivers sa bayan ng Dinalupihan, ito ay 1st wave pa lang at marami pang kasunod,” Soriano told this reporter in a phone interview.
DKM group thanked their sponsors in the said project namely: St. John Academy, REACT Sniper Group, Young Entrep (Event and Food Caterers) and the students who are scholars of Bataan 1st District Rep. Geraldine B. Roman.
Soriano is also the chief of staff of Congresswoman Roman.
