Dinan Labung pushes reforms, vows progress for Sta. Ana

Ferdinand “Dinan” Labung is setting his sights on transforming Sta. Ana, Pampanga, into a model of progress and sustainable development. A former five-term board member of the province’s third district, Labung is running for mayor with a clear agenda: improving health, education, infrastructure, and governance.

Sta. Ana, a first-class municipality with deep agricultural roots, faces challenges in health services, traffic congestion, waste management, and youth opportunities. Labung plans to tackle these by establishing a hospital and a Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) satellite campus, both on land he personally acquired. He also aims to decongest roads, upgrade bridges, and implement an effective solid waste management system.

Critics question his Sta. Ana residency, but Labung insists the Commission on Elections decides eligibility, not his detractors. He highlights his 15-year track record of serving the town and surrounding communities, earning the trust of local officials and residents.

A key campaign promise is donating his entire mayoral salary to vulnerable sectors like solo parents, NGOs, and transport groups. He also envisions a centralized tricycle terminal system to benefit drivers and commuters alike.

Backed by businessman Rodolfo “Tatay Bong” Pineda, Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, and Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, Labung is committed to delivering results. With expertise in engineering and business, he promises swift implementation of reforms within his first 100 days.

For Labung, Sta. Ana’s potential is limitless—under his leadership, he believes the town can, and will, achieve it.
