DOE turns over EV charging station

CLARK FREEPORT — The Department of Energy (DOE) formally turned over a state-of-the-art Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Station to the Clark Development Corporation (CDC), signaling a strengthened push for clean energy infrastructure in economic zones.

The handover, held at the Clark Freeport Zone, reinforces the collaboration between DOE and CDC in supporting the Philippines’ transition to sustainable transport and reduced carbon emissions.

Officials from both agencies emphasized the role of the new charging facility in promoting green mobility and enhancing Clark’s positioning as a smart and sustainable city.

“This initiative reflects our continued commitment to future-ready, energy-efficient ecosystems,” said CDC President and CEO Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera in a statement.

The EV Charging Station is expected to serve both private and commercial electric vehicles operating within the zone, complementing broader efforts to encourage e-vehicle adoption in the country.
