Health Secretary Francisco Duque III said on Monday that Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) director Dr. Celia Carlos will be staying amid circulating memo that she was replaced.
The DOH announcement dated March 23 states: “The circulating issuance stating that Dr. Carlos has been replaced by Assistant Secretary Nestor Santiago is an erroneous draft of the document which was inadvertently posted but immediately taken down.”
RITM is an agency under the DOH that conducts screening tests on COVID-19 patients.
