Staying true to its mission of expanding public access to labor services, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has launched its first satellite office in Paniqui, Tarlac under its District I operations.
The newly inaugurated office aims to bring employment facilitation, labor regulation, and worker protection services closer to communities. DOLE Assistant Secretary Atty. Lennard Constantine Serrano emphasized the agency’s commitment to decentralizing its programs during the opening ceremony.
Public-Private Collaboration for Workforce Development
The establishment of the satellite office was made possible through a public-private partnership between DOLE and the local government of Paniqui, which provided a free office space for the initiative. A memorandum of agreement was formalized between Paniqui Mayor Leonardo Roxas, Vice Mayor Aida Roxas II, DOLE Central Luzon Regional Director Geraldine Panlilio, and DOLE Tarlac Head Jose Roberto Navata.
Initially, the office will be manned by five personnel tasked with handling various employment and labor programs. The launch event was also attended by DOLE Undersecretary Atty. Felipe Egargo Jr., municipal mayors, councilors, and barangay captains of Paniqui.
