Consul Eduardo De Guzman of the De Guzman Group of Companies recently donated P1,000,000 worth of cash assistance for the residents of three villages in Samal, Bataan.
Samal Mayor Aida De Guia Macalinao said that upon hearing from the news that the whole province will be once again under the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ), “Don Eddie”, as he is fondly called, immediately wrote a formal letter to her that says, “Due to the lockdown, I intend to distribute cash assistance to my ‘Kababaryo’ (Barangay Sapa, East and West Calaguiman.”
Each beneficiary from the said villages received P1,000. The cash assistance was distributed last August 17 in Barangay Sapa and August 18 in East Calaguiman and West Calaguiman.
“Last year namigay din siya ng cash assistance during the first ECQ sa kanyang mga kababaryo, and even before pandemic, every Christmas nagbibigay siya ng mga pamasko,” says Aaron Rondilla, LGU-Samal HR chief.
Don Eddie De Guzman, a native of Samal, Bataan, is the Founder President and Chairman of the Sky Freight Group of Companies in the Philippines.
