The Department of Tourism (DOT) has started transporting local tourists stranded in various provinces in Luzon following the extended lockdown until May 15.
At least 138 domestic tourist from Butuan, 249 from Iloilo and 202 from Davao arrived at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) via Cebu Pacific Air on Saturday.
More sweeper flights from Cebu are expected in Manila.
DOT said it is expecting more than 1,100 stranded tourists to arrive in NAIA.
