BULACAN, Philippines — The Department of Transportation (DOTr) has released ₱8 million in livelihood assistance to the provincial government of Bulacan for residents displaced by the North-South Commuter Railway (NSCR) project.

Assistant Secretary for Right of Way and Site Acquisition IC Calaguas, representing Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon, led the ceremonial turnover. She underscored the importance of local government support in fast-tracking one of the country’s largest infrastructure projects.

Governor Daniel Fernando and Vice Governor Alex Castro received the assistance on behalf of the province, which will host seven NSCR stations: Calumpit, Malolos, Guiguinto, Balagtas, Bocaue, Marilao, and Meycauayan.

The NSCR is a priority under President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s infrastructure agenda, with expedited construction ordered through Secretary Dizon.
