DOTr to allow buses, modern jeepneys in MM GCQ

As public transportation reopens when Metro Manila shifts to general community quarantine (GCQ), buses and modern jeepneys will be allowed to ferry passengers three weeks later, Department of Transportation (DOTr) Road Sector Consultant said. .

Due to quarantine restrictions, allowed to ply the roads immediately are trains taxis, ride-hailing services like Grab and point-to-point buses. Back rides are still prohibited. 

Meanwhile, presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said public utility vehicles must serve not more than 50 percent of its capacity.
