The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) commenced the construction of a new three-storey building at Jose S. Lapid District Hospital in Porac, Pampanga.
When completed, the P200-million infrastructure will deliver high-quality care, ensuring the well-being of both patients and healthcare professionals.
DPWH Assistant Regional Director Melquiades Sto. Domingo, speaking on behalf of Regional Director Roseller Tolentino, emphasized the transformative impact of the new structure on healthcare delivery.
“This will provide modern amenities such as administrative offices, a laboratory, patient rooms, and other essential areas, aiming to create a comfortable environment for patients and a streamlined work setting for medical staff,” Sto. Domingo said.
He also stressed that the new building will not only symbolize health and well-being but also mark a significant stride towards a more inclusive healthcare system for the community of Porac.
