TARLAC, Philippines – The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed a new P16.27-million, two-storey school building at Malupa Elementary School in Concepcion, Tarlac, providing six additional classrooms to accommodate the growing student population.

The 638.37-square-meter facility includes comfort rooms with PWD-accessible toilets, a fire protection system, water tank, and wheelchair ramp. Funded under the 2024 Basic Educational Facilities Fund of the Department of Education (DepEd), the project aims to improve public school infrastructure in the province.

Teacher Sunshine Mari said the new space significantly improves the classroom experience. “Students can now learn in a more spacious and less crowded environment, which helps foster better focus and participation,” she said.
