BOCAUE, Bulacan (PIA) — Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) started today the clearing and disinfection procedures for the three mega tents located at Philippine Arena complex, Ciudad de Victoria (CDV).
This is prior to its transformation as a We Heal As One Center that will cater to coronavirus disease patients with mild or no symptoms.
“Our workers from Pampanga 1st and Bulacan District Engineering Offices, along with the Bureau of Fire Protection and CDV management banded together in the disinfection of the tents and its surrounding areas to ensure that these are safe from contamination before patients are admitted at the facility,” DPWH Regional Director Roseller Tolentino said.
The CDV management also extended personnel assistance in the dismantling and disinfecting of the steel frame beds to be used in the facility.
“We allotted two days for the clearing and disinfection as mobilization of construction workers will commence on Monday, April 20,” Tolentino added.
The three mega tents which will have nursing stations, sanitizing chambers, and test booths will be modified to accommodate 300 cubicles as approved by Department of Health.
As part of occupational health and safety measures, all personnel who will be working at the mega tents will be sheltered in temporary barracks to be built by DPWH.
