CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed two buildings at the Police Regional Office 3 Headquarters in Camp Olivas.
They include the two-strorey Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo Building and the Regional Headquarters Support Unit Building.
Pampanga 1st District Engineer Almer Miranda affirmed the continuous support of DPWH in the improvement of infrastructure and other facilities through the implementation of projects under his agency’s convergence program with the Philippine National Police (PNP).
“We recognize the fact that peace and order is vital for securing inclusive growth, thus, we need to have a safe and secure environment. Without security, our country will not be able to progress and remain stagnant in its economic, political, and social development. That is the reason why we are collaborating with PNP in enhancing the capability of our country’s premier law-enforcement agency,” he emphasized.
Meanwhile, the official announced that the construction of the two-storey, 771.58-square meter Regional Internal Affairs Service Building also inside Camp Olivas will begin this year.
“We will also implement the construction of a two-storey multipurpose facility with a total area of 768 square meters and a five-storey quarters for Police Non-Commissioned Officers measuring 1,938.75 square meters, both projects were given an initial funding of P20 million and P60 million, respectively,” Miranda explained.
These projects under the agency’s Convergence and Special Support Program were funded in the 2022 national budget and are expected to be completed by 2023.
