CABANATUAN CITY — Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the construction of a new farm to market (FMR) road in barangay Balaring in the municipality of General Mamerto Natividad.
DPWH Secretary Mark Villar expressed confidence that the new 1.6-kilometer road will facilitate easier transport of vegetables, mangoes and rice from and to nearby markets.
The FMR road involves concreting of a two-lane road amounting to PhP12.9 million funded under the 2020 General Appropriations Act.
“Not only do we aim to improve road condition to support local producers but also to ensure safe travel for motorists and residents traversing this local road,” Villar added.
