DPWH completes P16.32M mobility improvement projects in Orani

Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed P16.32 million worth of mobility improvement projects in Orani, Bataan.

It includes upgrading of local road, bridge and drainage system.

DPWH Bataan 1st District Engineer Erlindo Flores Jr. said these projects funded under the 2022 General Appropriations Act will make travel more convenient for residents within their communities.

“The P8.41 million, 502.41-lineal meter road and drainage improvement project that stretches from barangay Mulawin to barangay Bayan will not only improve travel conditions but also prevent street flooding particularly during rainy season,” Flores disclosed.

Moreover, reconstruction of a 12-lineal meter bridge worth P7.91 million in barangay Bayan will allow easy passage for vehicles and pedestrians.

For his part, Bayan Barangay Councilor Rodrigo Atanacio shared the importance of these projects to the community.

“Mahalaga ito, unang-una gumanda ang daan, lumapad at ang tulay ay tumaas, matutulungan ang mga naka paligid na barangay ng Mulawin at ng Bayan gayundin ang buong Orani dahil may malapit na eskuwelahan sa pinagawang daan na ito,” the official said.

Infrastructure projects like these are implemented by DPWH to support the continued development of local communities in the municipality.
