DPWH finishes 2 infra projects in Samal village

Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) finished two infrastructure projects at barangay Palili in Samal, Bataan.

These include the P13.23 million road concreting and P7.34 million construction of a two-storey barangay hall.

DPWH Bataan 1st District Engineer Erlindo Flores Jr. said locals can now enjoy the convenience of traveling on paved roads.

“We have improved the 913.40-linear meter section of this road and we have observed that students commuting daily as well as bikers going to the mountainous area of barangay Palili no longer have difficulty in their journey,” Flores explained.

Moreover, the newly-constructed barangay hall has a total area of 264 square meters.

It aims to serve as the local government’s service delivery center and was designed to accommodate offices that provide services to residents.

The newly constructed facility will also be used as an evacuation center in times of calamity, and as a place for holding community events and other social activities. (CLJD-PIA 3)
