CITY OF SAN JOSE DEL MONTE, Bulacan – Police operatives killed an armed drug dealer after a brief firefight in Bgy. Minuyan here while 7 others drug violators were nabbed in a series of anti-drug operations in this city early Thursday morning.
In a report to Bulacan police director Senior Supt. Romeo Caramat Jr., SJDM City police chie Supt. Fitz macariola identified the slain suspect as a certain alias “Castro”, other data still being verified.
Macariola said that members of the city’s Drug Ebnforcement Unit conducted a buy bust operation in Sapang lamig, Bgy. Minuya at around 1:30 am Thursday against “Castro” , who is listed in the watchlist of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in the City of San Jose del Monte, Bulacan,.
After handing a plastic sachet of shabu to a police undercover agent. Macariola said suspect “Castro” sense an entrapment and drew his handgun firing at the police officer who was prompted to return fire. A brief exchange of gunfire ensued resulting to the death of the suspect.
In Bgy. Sta. Cruz, police arrested Dominador Faa alias “Nonoy Domeng”, 49, married and Jose Monarez alias Barok”, 43 after selling a sachet of shabu to a police poseur buyer. Macariola said operatives recovered five more plastic sachets from the suspects.
In Bgy. Minuyan, macariola identified the arrested suspects as Lester John Firmades, 46; Gemma Jodormeio, 46, married and Rommel Manalo during a buy-bust operation. the suspects also yielded 6 pieces more of plastic sachets containg shabu weighing 1.5 grams.
Members of the City DEU also arrested James Nicole Cruz, 18 in Bgy. Gaya-gaya and Romeo Robes in Bgy. Minuyan Proper for drug pushing.
Macariola said appropriate charges for violation of the Comprehensive dangerous Drugs Act will be filed against the suspects. —EMIL G. GAMOS
