ANGELES CITY – A total of 68 Day Care Centers out of 76 here have been accredited by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Regional Office III.
This is part of the move of Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr. to repair, rehabilitate, and accredit day care centers here to protect and promote the best interest of the children availing of the Day Care Service.
In fact, DSWD RO III Accreditor Zenaida Zampan, and City Social Welfare and Development Officer Edna Duaso, paid a courtesy visit to the Mayor and Executive Asst. IV Reina Manuel for updates regarding the ongoing accreditation of Day Care Centers here.
According to Mayor Lazatin, although this is just 89.47% of the total, the City aims for a more efficient and effective delivery of Day Care service by complying with the standards and guidelines set by the DSWD.
Moreover, for Manuel, this is also to promote accountability in the implementation of the service in the community and workplace, which was also agreed by Duaso.
