BALER, Aurora – The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has strengthened its Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) by partnering with the Lyceum of the East-Aurora in providing comprehensive skills training for beneficiaries.
Through this partnership, the agency intends to enhance the skills of its participants and other program beneficiaries, ensuring they are equipped for long-term success.
DSWD Regional Director Venus Rebuldela said the collaboration will implement tailored training programs designed to promote skill development and economic independence.
“This partnership will help our beneficiaries gain the expertise they need to create and sustain their livelihoods,” she added.
Under the agreement, Lyceum of the East-Aurora will provide technical assistance, training facilities, and expertise in various fields relevant to the SLP.
Additionally, the institution will mobilize its faculty, students, and resources to support the implementation of the program.
Since its launch in 2011, the SLP has empowered thousands of beneficiaries, helping reduce poverty by providing skills-based training and livelihood support to marginalized communities. (CLJD/MAT, PIA Region 3-Aurora)
