Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Central Luzon will highlight Sustainable Consumerism in the Digital Age during this year’s celebration of Consumer Welfare Month.
The theme encourages a mindful shift in consumption, particularly when it comes to purchasing goods and services online.
DTI Region 3 Consumer Protection Division Chief Jerry Maglalang said the celebration commenced last October 3 with Bagwis Awards which recognizes establishments faithfully following consumer laws and supporting consumer rights.
There was also a presentation on Sustainable Consumption and Production by Plastic Credit Exchange and Everything Green.
“There will be a Regional Consumer Quiz Bee 2.0 on October 21 to be participated by secondary students,” he added.
DTI will likewise hold an E-Poster Making Contest to be participated by secondary students and a Regional Vlogging Contest to be participated by Consumer organizations on October 28.
And lastly, a Regional Spoken Poetry Contest and culminating activity will be held on October 31.
