DTI hands over livelihood kits to 7 micro enterprises in Concepcion

TARLAC CITY – Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Tarlac handed over livelihood kits to seven micro enterprises in the municipality of Concepcion.

Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (NSB) program aids micro enterprises with materials to restore and improve their businesses.

DTI Provincial Director Agnes Ramirez encouraged the enterprises engaged in macramé making to formalize their businesses.

“We hope to see your products level up and we want you to be open to possibilities and widen your market reach,” Ramirez urged.

“Currently the municipality of Victoria is starting to make a name in macramé crafting and we also want Concepcion to be known for this craft since you have been doing this for a long time,” she furthered.

This year, Barangay Balutu is among the 13 barangays in the province chosen to be the beneficiaries of the said program.

Mayor Andy Lacson likewise encouraged the recipients to develop their products.

“May you utilize the livelihood kits given by DTI properly and let your business grow so that you could also be of help to our community,” he advised.

Beneficiaries were identified, evaluated, and chosen through the Barangay Development Councils (BDCs).

Moreover, they will be continually provided with basic business advisory or information dissemination services for their growth and development through the BDCs and Negosyo Center Concepcion.
