Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) conducted a Balik Eskwela Diskwento Caravan in Capas, Tarlac.
It aims to bring closer to consumers discounted products from about 24 entrepreneurs.
“We called it ‘Balik Eskwela’ because goods include school supplies for students who will be going back to school especially now that limited face to face classes are implemented,” DTI Tarlac Consumer Protection Division Chief Florencia Balilo said.
Also included in the caravan was the Consumer Awareness and Responsiveness Education Seminar.
“This seeks to educate residents of the eight consumer rights and five consumer responsibilities,” Balilo added.
Moreover, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas conducted an information and Palit Pera drive in an effort to promote currency integrity through Clean Note and Coins Policy.
