CABANATUAN CITY — A total of 25 micro and small entrepreneurs (MSE) will have the chance to further enhance their marketing strategies as Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is set to launch its Kapatid Mentor Me Program in Nueva Ecija on Wednesday, June 7.
DTI Provincial Director Brigida Pili said the program primarily aims to help MSEs scale up their businesses through weekly coaching and mentoring by business owners and practitioners on different functional areas of entrepreneurship.
“With this mentorship, we hope to give our MSEs an opportunity to contribute to economic growth and address the issues of unemployment, job mismatch and migration, so that no one will be left behind in our path to progress,” Pili explained.
The concept of the Kapatid Mentor Me program is for bigger entrepreneurs to act as big brothers and sisters to the smaller entrepreneurs and help them expand their businesses.
Mentees will undergo 12 sessions including Entrepreneurial Mind-Setting & Values Formation; Marketing; Business Model Canvass; Product Development and Innovation; Operations Management; Supply and Value Chain; Human Resource & Organization Management; Entrepreneurial Accounting & Financial Management; Taxation; Business Law; and Support from Other Institutions.
“After completing the sessions, the mentees will have their Business Improvement Plan presentation and will have a product expo,” Pili furthered.
The program is under the “Kapatid Angat Lahat”, and is in partnership with the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship, Inc.—Go Negosyo. –Camille C. Nagano
