CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) opened its 20th Negosyo Center in the province located in Arayat town.
DTI Pampanga OIC-Provincial Director Elenita Ordonio said the facility would provide business advisory services, training, business name registration assistance, registration for Barangay Micro Business Enterprises, and will also serve as an OFW Assistance Desk, display center, database center and venue for market matching activity.
For her part, DTI Regional Director Judith Angeles stressed the importance of putting up a Negosyo Center, especially during this time of health crisis.
“I thank the local government of Arayat for their support in establishing a Negosyo Center. The establishment of this facility is very timely to aid in the recovery of our micro, small, and medium entrepreneurs (MSMEs),” Angeles said.
Meanwhile, in behalf of the municipality, Mayor Emmanuel Bon Alejandrino expressed support to the operation of the said facility in the town.
“We are indeed thankful to DTI Pampanga for putting up this facility in our town. This is a great help for our constituents who are doing business in Arayat and are affected by the pandemic. For our part, we will make sure that the local government will reach out to our MSMEs so that they will feel the support of the government in growing their businesses,” Alejandrino said.
In Pampanga, only four municipalities are yet to establish their own Negosyo Centers.
The creation of Negosyo Centers in each local government unit is mandated under Republic Act 10644 otherwise known as the Go Negosyo Act, to support inclusive growth and economic development.
