MANILA, Philippines – More senatorial bets allied with former president Rodrigo Duterte and the PDP-Laban party have entered the coveted “Magic 12” in Pulse Asia’s latest senatorial preference survey, conducted from March 23 to 29, 2025.
Re-electionist Senator Bong Go remains the top Senate contender with 61.9% voter preference, followed by ACT-CIS Rep. Erwin Tulfo and Sen. Bato dela Rosa, who are tied for third place.
Political observers say the recent International Criminal Court (ICC) arrest warrant against Duterte may have fueled a sympathy boost among supporters, propelling more Duterte-aligned candidates into top spots.
Other PDP-aligned names within or near the Magic 12 include Willie Revillame, Ben Tulfo, and SAGIP Rep. Rodante Marcoleta. The survey included 2,400 respondents nationwide, with a ±2% margin of error.
