EdPam leads LGU to join Earth Hour in advance

Angeles City – In solidarity with the rest of the world in observance of Earth Hour on March 24, Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan has released a public circular addressed to all city government offices, all barangay councils, public and private schools, mall and market managements, and other private establishments to take part in an initiative to stage Earth Hour a day in advance.

According to Jose “Jay” Pelayo IV, communications officer of Angeles City LGU, the initiative is set to take place on March 23 (Friday), from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Pelayo added “aside from the usual energy conservation modes such as turning off the lights and air-conditioning units, everyone is encouraged to go out of their offices, places of business, or classrooms for that one hour on Friday morning to help clean up their surroundings.

Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan said ‘the Angelenos’ early effort will add significantly to the city’s further contribution to Saturday’s Global Earth Hour cause.”
