Escudero, Revilla, Binay tagged in kickback scheme

Former Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Undersecretary Roberto Bernardo has implicated Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero, Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr., and Makati Mayor Nancy Binay in the alleged multi-billion peso flood control kickback scheme.

Bernardo claimed the lawmakers and the mayor were among those who benefited from infrastructure allocations funneled through questionable projects. The exposé adds to the growing list of public officials under scrutiny as authorities and watchdog groups intensify their probe into corruption in flood control contracts.

Neither Escudero, Revilla, nor Binay have issued a statement as of posting.
