Federal Express Corporation, one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, collaborated with local non-profit Rise Against Hunger Philippines to donate 3,600 meal packs to approximately 2,000 Aeta people in Pampanga. This effort aims to combat food insecurity of disadvantaged families in the province.

As part of the company’s 40th anniversary celebrations in the Philippines, more than 70 FedEx volunteers packed and delivered rice-soy meals to 400 families from seven barangays in Porac, Pampanga. The meal packs are designed to provide maximum nutrition and will make a significant difference in the lives of indigenous families.

“FedEx is committed to delivering more than just packages; we are dedicated to making a positive impact in the communities we serve,” said Maribeth Espinosa, managing director of FedEx Philippines. “Our collaboration with Rise Against Hunger Philippines best demonstrates our core values in action. We believe that through strategic and collective efforts, we can help alleviate hunger and drive significant change in local communities.”

The Aeta, an indigenous group in the Philippines, is facing challenges related to food security, particularly in remote areas. This initiative is part of the FedEx Cares broader commitment to community support and corporate social responsibility.
