CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Out of the 21 candidates vying for the Mutya Ning Kapampangan crown, City of San Fernando’s Rica Gabriene David won the title.
David, 21, a Cum Laude graduate of Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the Angeles University Foundation (AUF), will also be representing the province in the Miss Millennial in Eat Bulaga, the country’s top noontime show.
She is also a theater artist who played the role of Jasmine in Aladdin, and Ana in Frozen. She was also a talent of CLTV36 during her college days.
Before she graduated from College, she started joining pageants at the University level, where she was hailed as Miss AUF 2017.
Meanwhile, Angeles City’s Mary Anne Felker bagged the 1st runner-up; San Luis town’s Rose Ann Pangilinan, 2nd runner-up; Porac town’s Maria Ayssa Sarmiento, 3rd runner-up; and Mabalacat City’s Kyle Celine Dorado, 4th runner-up.
The coronation night was held at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center (BZGCC) on Tuesday, December 10, where Governor Dennis ‘Delta’ Pineda lauded the Kapampangan beauties, saying they all deserve to bring home the crown.
For the Governor, it is already a privilege to stand in front of the crowd to represent their respective cities and municipalities.
He then thanked the committee members of the event for making it the most iconic and awaited pageant in the province, as his co-chair and wife, former Sta. Rita Mayor Yolanda Pineda, gave her time and effort to help in the event’s success.
The panel of judges of the MNK 2019 is composed of Johanna Datul, Miss Supranational 2013; Bea Rose Santiago, Miss International 2013; Rachel Peters, Miss Universe Philippines 2017; Maxine Medina, Miss Universe Philippines 2016; and Martin del Rosario, actor-model.
Also present during the event were Board Members Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab, Fritzie David-Dizon, Ananias Canlas, Nelson Calara, Pol Balingit, Benny Jocson, Moshe Lacson, Gabby Mutuc, local chief executives, provincial department heads led by Administrator Charlie Chua, Provincial Legal Officer Gerome Tubig, Special Assistant to the Governor and Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer Angelina Blanco, among others.
