FLORIDABLANCA — Continuous rains over the weekend caused severe flooding in Barangay Maligaya, prompting swift action from local officials and emergency responders.
Barangay Captain Larry Miranda, along with members of the Barangay Council, conducted rounds across the community to assess the extent of the flooding and ensure that immediate needs of residents were addressed. The inspection also aimed to identify areas requiring urgent assistance or evacuation.

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC) deployed a rescue team early Monday morning to provide aid and conduct a more thorough inspection of affected zones. The local government assured the public that monitoring efforts would remain ongoing throughout the weather disturbance.

Officials said that assistance to residents continues, with a focus on safety, basic needs, and readiness in case of further weather-related developments.
Authorities are reminding residents to remain alert and follow advisories as the weather system affecting the region shows no immediate signs of easing.
