CLARK FREEPORT – Mayoralty aspirant and Third District Board Member Rosve Henson said that year-long flood management is needed in Pampanga’s capital city to address the perennial flooding.
During the media forum here hosted by the Capampangans in Media Inc. (CAMI) in cooperation with the Clark Development Corp. (CDC) on Friday, Henson said desilting, dredging and other forms of ant-flood measures should be done in the City of San Fernando “from day one” to solve the flooding. Major highways and streets in the city are affected by floods during the rainy season or when there is a strong downpour.
A civil engineer, Henson said he will immediately address the problem on floods with his plans once elected city mayor.
“You can’t solve the problems on floods if you address it only during the rainy season. It has to be from January to December,” said Henson.
The three-termer third district board member also wants to solve the traffic problems in the city. He said roads must be widen and more must be constructed in order to solve it.
“The vehicles are increasing in number but the roads are not. We must widen the roads and construct more,” said Henson.
He said he will talk to owners of land to convince them to sell their properties for the road-widening and road construction.
