CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — Some 4,757 Floridablancans lauded Governor Lilia ‘Nanay’ Pineda for providing continuous quality health services.
The lady Governor personally went to this town to lead the second day of Philhealth’s “Alaga Ka” roadshow.
The beneficiaries who were determined from the National Household Targetting System (NHTS) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) are some of the newest 100,000 Kapampangan members of Philhealth.
In line with this, Gov. Pineda also reiterated the importance of Universal Health Care (UHC), authored by Senator JV Ejercito, which was signed and declared into a law l by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte on Feb 21.
According to the Governor, “it was not easy” to guarantee the health condition of every constituent, but with the help of the National Government, the challenge is getting easier for every home’s health and wellness.
During the kick-off of Philhealth’s roadshow on Feb 22, a total of 8,860 beneficiaries from Lubao also received Philhealth membership.
It can be recalled that last 2018, the Provincial Government led by the Governor and Vice Gov. Dennis ‘Delta’ Pineda, alloted P2.01 billion for the health programs of Kapampangans.
During the Philhealth anniversary last Feb 14, Pampanga was cited as one of the two provinces for implementing health projects.
Meanwhile, Floridablanca Vice Mayor Michael Galang also thanked the Provincial Government led by Gov. Lilia ‘Nanay’ Pineda and Vice Gov. Dennis ‘Delta’ Pineda in utilizing programs that would benefit the Kapampangans. (Leah Isidro De Fiesta)
