Frasco visits historic Holy Rosary Church

On the second day of the Philippine Experience Program (PEP) in Central Luzon, Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco visited the historic Holy Rosary Parish Church in Angeles City, Pampanga.

Known locally as Pisamban Maragul or “Big Church,” the Holy Rosary Parish stands as a testament to the enduring faith and rich cultural heritage of the Kapampangan people. Its architecture and historical significance highlight Pampanga’s deep-rooted traditions, making it a vital cultural landmark in the region.

Joining Frasco in her visit was Pampanga First District Representative Jon Lazatin, who emphasized the importance of showcasing such landmarks as part of the Philippine Experience Program. The initiative aims to promote heritage tourism by highlighting the unique traditions, culture, and history of different regions across the country.

Frasco’s visit underscores the Department of Tourism’s commitment to celebrating the country’s cultural treasures while fostering local and international appreciation for Filipino heritage.
