As the fight against Covid-19 continues, Uniqlo and SM Foundation teamed up to give support and help to Filipinos, especially those who are hardly affected by this plight. Recently, Uniqlo through SM Foundation and SM City Olongapo Central and SM City Olongapo Downtown distributed a total of 7,000 pieces of Uniqlo Airism facemasks to several frontliners in Olongapo City and Zambales.
“To help the frontliners, who have been working hard to save our fellow countrymen, and the communities highly affected by the pandemic, Uniqlo has pledged to provide support by giving 500,000 pieces of Airism masks,” as stated in their social media post.
The Airism facemasks were donated to Naval Station Leovigildo Gantioqui Hospital, San Antonio Zambales, Pagasa Health Center, Olongapo City Health Office, SBMA Law Enforcement Office, Olongapo City Police Office and Phil. Army in Castillejos Zambales.
Japanese retail brand Uniqlo is bringing its Airism face mask to the country to help for the protection of the people especially the frontliners. According to Uniqlo, the face mask can filter bacteria and other particles in the air, and block harmful UV rays, it is made of lightweight, breathable material that stretches to its wearer’s form without the constricting feel. The washable face mask also has a three-tier structure that can filter 99 percent of particles, including bacteria and pollen.
In addition, SM City Olongapo malls also donated SM bottled water and gallons of alcohol to PNP frontliners. The distribution was headed by SM City Olongapo Central Mall Manager Ana Lorraine Azucena, SM City Olongapo Downtown Asst. Mall Manager Ariel Ferrer and CRS Manager Michael Mungcal.
The collaboration between Uniqlo Philippines and SM Foundation has reached almost 115,000 frontliners in the different parts of the country.
