CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – About P1.75 million worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) was seized by government authorities during buy bust along 20th corner Canda Street, Barangay East Bajac-Bajac, Olongapo City Sunday.
The sting led to the arrest of Norkesa Dumrang, 25, Muslim trader and temporarily staying in said place, said Chief Supt. Aaron Aquino, Central Luzon police director.
Aquino said the suspect negotiated with under cover anti-narcotics agents from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) for the sale of three plastic bags of shabu weighing not less than 350 grams.
The suspect, Aquino said agreed to meet the poseur buyer on condition she will close the deal only in her residence.
“After the suspect showed to an undercover the stuff, police and PDEA rushed inside Dumrang residence and have her arrested,” said Aquino in a statement.
Dumrang was informed of her constitutional rights shortly after the arrest, said Aquino.
Confiscated from the suspect’s possession includes three plastic packets containing suspected shabu weighing not less than 350 grams with street value of Php1,750,00.00 and the marked money used in the buy bust.
The suspect was brought to the Olongapo City District Jail as violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act is being readied against her.
