OLONGAPO CITY, Zambales – A buy bust operation here conducted by joint elements of City Intel Branch, Olongapo City Police Office (OCPO) and City Police Drug Enforcement Unit yielded an approximate 1 ¼ kilos of shabu along with 21 heat sealed sachets with a street value of P12.5 million.The operation also led to the arrest of four drug suspects along Laban St. Balic-Balic Barangay Sta. Rita, Olongapo City on Tuesday, May 26.
Suspects were identified as Archie Boy Usenar a 20 year-old male resident of Barangay Sta. Rita; John Mark “Chokoy” Serica, 18 years old and a resident of Barangay Gordon Height; Jeff Dennon ”Wami” Rivera 28 year-old male also a resident of the same barangay; and Michael “Mike” Salac a parking boy from barangay Pag-asa, all from Olongapo City.
OCPO City Director, Police Colonel Benjamin De Leon Sembrano disclosed the drug bust operation was prepared two days prior to the successful arrest of the suspects who are all in the watchlist.
“With the help of Patrolya ng Bayan, we have successfully nabbed these drug suspects, because they were caught in the mountainous side of Balic-Balic at Sta. Rita Olongapo City,” said PCol Sembrano.
City Police presented the suspects to Mayor Rolen “Lenj” Paulino Jr. along with the confiscated evidence such as the marked money with big and small sachet of shabu past 12 noon this day.
“Mga bata pa kayo, sinasayang niyo ang buhay niyo sa droga at sinisira niyo din ang buhay ng kapwa niyo sa ganyan,” Paulino told the suspects.
“We do not allow this kind of crime here and we will not stop to search those pushers and peddlers involved with drugs, for our city to be drug-free,” Paulino stressed.
Suspects are presently detained at Police Station 1 and will face charges for violating RA 9165 or the Dangerous Drugs Act .
