BALANGA CITY – A team of PNP motorcycle riding officers called MASCO or the Motorcycle Anti-Street Crime Officers are now on guard of this city’s school and business district aimed in preventing all street-crimes.
Recently, Balanga City Mayor Francis Anthony Garcia officially turned-over four motorcycles to further augment the Bike Patrol Team of the Balanga City Police Force.
Balanga City Police chief, Police Supt. Byron Allatog said the MASCO is composed of a Bike Team and Mobile Team Patrol Unit of the local police.
“They are armed with an urban assault-rifles & standard Glock 9mm ready for “quick chase” in an urban traffic problems and a stop frisk police operations, guided by CCTVs scattered around the city combined with high frequency radios,” Allatog told this reporter.
Supt. Allatog added that policing approaches/tactics should adopt in a changing environment, likewise the police must always be supported in terms of understanding, logistics, and firepower by the community to be two-steps ahead in terms of prevention and capability in terms of tactical response-swift, accurate and fast trouble shooter.
