ORANI, Bataan — Senator Sherwin Gatchalian visited today the 1Bataan Command Center and donated relief goods in view of the extended Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) in the province.
He personally delivered 200 cavans of rice, 20 boxes of canned sardines and another 20 boxes of noodles.
“My family and I are always ready to extend aid to our fellow countrymen. Together, we will beat COVID-19 [coronavirus disease]. Take extra care, Bataeños,” Gatchalian said.
He also commended the measures being taken by the provincial government to battle the spread of the disease and their response to provide relief to residents.
For his part, Governor Albert Raymond Garcia expressed his gratitude to the senator and said that the donations will be added to their systematic relief distribution.
“Your demonstration of support and your donations add courage for us to continue the fight against COVID-19, which is also a great help to families severely affected by the extension of ECQ here in Bataan,” Garcia told Gatchalian.
