The beneficiaries were from the municipalities of Floridablanca, Guagua, Porac, Lubao, Sasmuan and Sta. Rita.
Go was assisted by Governor Lilia ‘Nanay’ Pineda, Vice Governor Dennis ‘Delta’ Pineda, Board Members Fritzie Dizon, Anthony Joseph Torres, Arthur Salalila, Salvador Dimson Jr., Rosve Henson, Cherry Manalo, Pol Balingit and Nelson Calara, Local Chief Executives Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab, Darwin Manalansan, Dante Torres, Nardo Velasco, Edwin Santiago, and Ferdinand Salalila, and Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO) Head Angie Blanco.
In behalf of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, Go left a message for the NCWs to uplift their spirits.
“Bukas po ang gobyerno at lokal na pamahalaan sa patuloy na pagbibigay ng ayuda sa mga kapwa nating Pilipino na apektado ng mga sakuna tulad ng baha at sunog,” Go said.
[“The government is always open and will continue to give aid to fellow Filipinos affected by calamities and disasters like flood and fires.”]
The SAP also added: “Hindi po kami magsasawa, ako at ang Pangulo na magbigay sa kanila ng tulong kahit maliit lang tulad ng damit, pagkain, at iba pa.”
[“The President and I will never stop giving help even in small ways like clothing, food, and others.”]
The governor and the younger Pineda thanked SAP for always extending its hand to the province of Pampanga.
Pineda also thanked the NCWs for its effort to disseminate information from the Capitol at the grassroots level.
Meanwhile, the vice governor also vowed that the provincial government will always prioritize their needs especially in times of calamities and disasters.
It can be recalled that PDRRMO head Angie Blanco shared in her interview via Pampanga Kaluguran Daka, a radio program of the provincial government at RW 95.1 FM, hosted by Joel Mapiles, that the NCWs contributed a lot in helping the Capitol in reaching the barangay level.
Blanco also mentioned then that NCWs also serves as an instrument to help the barangay constituents in terms of medical and educational assistance. –Leah Isidro De Fiesta
