Go: Duterte gets call from Trump, discusses COVID-19 cooperation

Senator Christopher ‘Bong’ Go said United States President Donald Trump spoke to President Rodrigo Duterte on Sunday evening to discusss bilateral cooperation on COVID-19 response.

Go said the conversation of two leaders lasted for 18 minutes. Details are yet to be released.

Since January 2020, US data from Johns Hopkins University Center for Systems Science and Engineering  have identified more than 746,000 COVID-19 cases with 41, 379 deaths throughout the country.

In the Philippines, the archipelago has the second highest number of COVID infections in SouthEast Asia with 6,259 confirmed cases.
