Gov Delta calls for peaceful mid-term elections

Bacolor, Pampanga – Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda joined the historic Peace Covenant Signing led by the Pampanga Commission on Elections (COMELEC) and the Pampanga Provincial Police Office at San Guillermo Church, Bacolor on Tuesday, March 4, 2025.

Alongside Gov. Delta, Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda and Board Member Fritzie Dizon also signed the covenant, demonstrating their commitment to a peaceful, orderly, and fair electoral process, while Special Assistant to the Governor Angelina Blanco showed her support for the initiative.

In his statement, Gov. Delta urged fellow candidates and their supporters to uphold peace and avoid any actions that could lead to violence in the upcoming 2025 national and local elections.

“Elections are a vital part of democracy. I encourage all candidates and their supporters to maintain respect and order. There is no need for conflict—unity and peace should prevail for the well-being of every Kapampangan,” he stressed.

The Peace Covenant Signing marks a crucial step in safeguarding a just and peaceful election in the province of Pampanga.

Governor Delta and Vice Governor Nanay are set to exchange positions in the upcoming 2025 midterm elections.
