Gov Delta distributes educational assistance to nearly 3,000 Students from City San Fernando

City of San Fernando, Pampanga — Nearly 3,000 students from the City of San Fernando received much-needed financial assistance from the Provincial Government of Pampanga on Tuesday, February 4, 2025.

Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda led the distribution of assistance to the scholars. Through the help of the Educational Financial Assistance Program (EFAP), each scholar was given P 4,000 cash aid.

Among the beneficiaries is 20-year-old Kyla Lagman, a second-year Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED) student at the City College of San Fernando.

Lagman, who is dedicated to her studies, expressed her gratitude for the assistance given by the provincial government.

“We are very grateful for the opportunity to gain additional financial support. This will help us with our projects for the upcoming second semester and ease the financial burden on our parents,” she said.

Data from the Provincial Library shows that 13,000 to 14,000 students across the province benefit from the EFAP twice a year. Through programs like EFAP, the Pampanga Provincial Government reaffirms its dedication to empowering students and ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder their academic aspirations.

The distribution event was also attended by former Board Member Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab, Special Assistant to the Governor Angelina Blanco, and Provincial Library representative Jasmine Cordero.
